All true churches share certain characteristics in common, and individual churches may differ from each other in theological emphases and ministry priorities while still remaining faithful to the gospel. Other churches distinguish themselves by their ministry priorities: some may emphasize international missions while others highlight discipleship. Some may place a premium on family ministry while others may make church planting their top priority.
While many of our priorities are shared with other churches, in some cases, it is the way we put them into practice that will distinguish us from other churches. It important to note that we derive no sense of superiority in our practices, and simply desire to express our understanding of biblical teaching and priorities. When other churches decide to highlight other priorities while remaining faithful to the gospel, we can thank God for them and commend them to other Christians with a clear conscience.

At its most basic level, Godly worship is setting our hearts’ affections and minds’ attentions on God, ascribing greatness to Him for Who He is and what He has done. It’s our response to the revelation of God’s character and glory! We believe that ALL of life is worship not just the musical portion of our services. We were created to worship 24/7. It can be bad worship or Godly worship depending on what we’ve set our affections on. Before God saves us, Romans 1-Romans 3:20 describe very clearly that an unbeliever’s mind worships created things. We suppress God’s truth and worship the creature rather than the Creator. On the contrary, when we have been given new life in Christ, we are given the ability to worship God in spirit and in truth. Genuine worship is not just music but includes all those things done for God’s glory (preaching, praying, serving, giving, parenting, etc…).
Families Worship Together
We are a multi-generational church which has grown accustomed to the presence of children in the service, and the children grow accustomed to being a part of the worship experience. Our goal is for our children to participate in and know they are part of the church family. A quiet room is available, and parents are free to utilize our nursery up to age 4 and for special circumstances. A class for children is offered during our 9:30 am Sunday Cross Training time.
Evangelism/Discipleship Through Homes
Parents are encouraged to evangelize and disciple their children and their neighbors. Values such as hospitality, family worship, catechism, and family discipleship are emphasized, and the saints of God are equipped to do the work of the ministry rather than placing the burden on paid professionals (Deuteronomy 6:7 Ephesians 4:11-16, 6:1-4).
We are committed to “creating space” for families to spend time together (Ephesians 5:16). We do not offer a host of programs that run families ragged. We would much rather encourage you to spend more time around your family table enjoying one another’s company, or engaging in Christian hospitality toward your neighbors in your community, workplace, school, etc.
